چکیده

This study examined the effects of 30% and 70% shading on growth characteristics, phenolic content, antioxidant activity three male cultivars (Atticus, Avalim, Herkolim) asparagus grown in a rain-shelter house. The treatment significantly increased shoot elongation rate all compared with control shade treatments. Compared treatment, production bud number Atticus Avalim cultivars. Most plant characteristics Herkolim cultivar were not affected by except root diameter. Polyphenol contents decreased under that plants had higher polyphenol content than flavonoid lower treatment. enzyme activities such as superoxide dismutase, catalase, peroxidase well 2,2'-azino-bis3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid (ABTS) free-radical scavenging Herkolim. Under those cultivar. results suggest can be applied cultivation to improve spear following season minimize decreases content.
